12/14/2014 - Merry Christmas

This is a picture of the couple that we have been teaching the past few months. They are moving back to America this weekend and will be baptized there. :) They are so freakin awesome! Mom, Hyden added you on FaceBook so you should talk to him and make sure he's praying still. :) hahaha I'm gonna go visit them this summer when I get home.

Tons of people ask me about how I study Chinese. I have recently been reading the Liahona and when I don't understand a character or the meaning I will stop, look it up in my electronic dictionary, and then right down both definitions. I have reached about 500 words in about 3 weeks. Shows how unfluent I am in Chinese but I'm learning tons!!!

Found some Christmas lights with our district name in them. haha Cool beans

President Day,

Man what a week of miracles!!! I am loving my mission right now to be honest. I am also loving my companion more and more. We seem to be getting along so well and just have this huge desire to help the people that we are meeting with right now really figure out how Christ can influence there lives. I was overcome this week as we saw our 4 main investigators really make some leaps and bounds in developing their faith in Jesus Christ.

Paul is doing amazing. He is such a cool, accomplished, and down to earth person. His whole attraction to the church started out with seeing all the happy successful members that we have and he wanted to be apart of it. He has been pretty wishy washy the past week until yesterday when he decided to come to church for the first time. He had a really great experience and really felt the Spirit. He said he'd attended a bunch of really weird services in the past but loved the feeling of our church. My companion and I then split up and I taught Paul with my ward mission leader. We taught him every single commandment and in detail explained the purpose of all of them because he really wanted to know what baptism entailed. My ward mission leader is a very talented and successful man who swears by the commandments as his reason for success. Paul was so intrigued and promised that he is going to at least "do an experiment upon the word". He's coming to family home evening tonight as well. Super excited to see him progress.

Wu dixiong is doing super well as well. We had some great lessons with him this past week and he is just so incredibly willing to learn the gospel. He loved the idea of eternal families because he is most likely getting married soon. Thank heavens she is a member! Such a great blessing. He goes to church every week and is willing to do the things we invite him to do. January baptism for sure!

Sister Zhang is doing amazing as well. She has progressed so much in the past month and has committed to be baptized on Christmas day. She is coming to Family Home Evening tonight and we will be reviewing the baptismal interview questions in prep for her interview on Friday! Please pray that everything will go according to plan. She needs the help.

Gene is a women who we met a couple of weeks ago and she came to church on Sunday. She has lived in America for over 30 years and is back on holiday. She is really sweet and we're hoping to work more with her in the future.

We had an awesome meeting with the stake President this week. He had tons of questions about the work and really wants to be involved in the missionary work. He has a huge desire to just help us out and continue to hasten the work of salvation. He was also so great to us. He took us to a really nice French restaurant. He is such a great man and has some great ideas on how to continue bringing souls unto Christ. We're very grateful to have a leader like President Liang.

I'm so thankful for all of my blessings and I'm so grateful to God and His mercy on me. I am a very imperfect person but I know that God wants me to be here spreading his word to the people of Taiwan. This mission has literally changed my life and the lives of so many other people. I love the Lord and am so thankful we get to think about Him so much during this Christmas Season.

Merry Christmas!
