Hey fam!
Pretty good week to say the least. We only have a few investigators right now but they are all doing great. Zhang yu wen is doing great. We reached an awesome milestone with her this week. We finished teaching all of the lessons! Because she has been in the hospital for so long we have been able to meet with her multiple times in the past little while and have seen so much change in her! Also, she has met so many people from the ward because every time we met with her we tried to bring a different person. On Saturday we had a great lesson with her at her house. The relief society pres and her husband came with us and we taught about temples and family history. She loves the idea of the temple because both of her parents have passed away. She is getting baptized on Christmas!
We had our last lesson with Ruby and Hayden. They took us out to a really fancy hotel restaurant and we had a wonderful gospel conversation with them. They thanked us so much for helping them find faith in Christ and helping them understand the gospel more. They will most likely be getting baptized in America in January or so. Love these two so much and I'll be visiting them when I get home from my mission!
Our investigator Paul is also progressing quite a bit! Last week we did a temple tour and met with him a couple times. He was a little hestitant to set up but eventually he did and we had an amazinglesson with him! He said he wants to know exactly what the qualifications for baptism are and commitments at church are before he sets a baptismal date. We'll be covering that tonight! He has a huge desire to change and become a man of God. Lots of potential!
I really love being Zone Leader and being in the choir. It's busy but being busy on the mission is so great! It makes the time go by way faster and you just feel like you are being effective. Exchanges are so awesome because not only do you get an opportunity to train but you get a chance to learn as well. So many awesome elders in these areas in our zone. I don't ever want to leave!!! Haha my companion and I are being a lot more open with each other and everything is going a lot smoother now. We are definitely becoming friends. I'm really thankful for his example and help.
We went with our RC's to the temple this week and did baptisms with them. I got to be the one checking the names off and pushing the new names through for the baptisms. IT's cool how they use missionaries to do that stuff sometimes. We love doing it. We will be doing it at least once or twice a month from now on.
I'm happy and healthy for the most part. Loving the choir and just chillin like I do. I really do love people so much and just want to see their happiness. I hope that I can continue to be used by the Lord to find those people who are in need of having their Spirits fed by the good word of God.
My Chinese is also rapidly improving. I have been super diligent lately and basically what I do is just read the Liahona and right down every word I don't know. I learned about 300 new words this week jsut by doing that. There aren't many learning tools we have access to and this is the one that I have found is the most effective for me. I love learning about the gospel and improving my Chinese at the same time. :)
Love ya'll have a great week!
